myBAB Weekend Picks

Hey there weekend, we’re so glad to see you. Here are myBAB’s picks for where to go and what to do on this Fall weather weekend.

BUBBLES MOVIE OF THE WEEK: Middle School: The Worst Years of my Life

You may feel like you’re back in middle school when you watch this movie (AKA the awkward years). It’s fun, creative and full of pranks — your kids will love it!

The bestseller book turned movie is a box office thriller with stars Emily Blunt and Justin Theroux (aka Jennifer Aniston’s husband). Girls Night Out or Date Night — you pick.

TO GO TO: Settler’s Day

The annual fall event in Marengo kicks off on Thursday with a parade, carnival, petting zoo, and more fun for the entire family.

TO EAT & DRINK: Neoteca

Take a night off from cooking and head into Neoteca for a seat by the windows, antipasti, insalate, wood-fired Neapolitan style pizza, and a bottle of wine to share.

TO BINGE: Gilmore Girls

After eight years, the iconic show is returning on Nov. 25 to Netflix. If you need a refresh or have no idea who Lorelai and Rory are, get comfy on the couch because you have seven seasons to get caught up on.

TAKE A DRIVE TO: St. Charles Scarecrow Fest

For over 30 years, the award-winning festival boasts 100+ hand-crafted scarecrows for you to view and vote for your favorite. Kids can make their own scarecrow to take home.

TO DO: Get ready for Halloween

The Halloween pop-up stores are open and your kids have finally stopped changing their minds on their costumes. Get the decor up, check off your Fall bucket list, and grab an Oktoberfest beer, there’s only three weeks until it’s Christmas season.

Where will you be this weekend? Need more ideas? Be sure to check our Upcoming Events and Weekend Happenings.
